On October 9th, ten of our students had the chance to attend an amazing evening at the English Theatre Berlin, where they experienced a reading and discussion with author Ayana Mathis, based on her latest novel The Unsettled. The event was part of the U.S. Embassy Literature Series.
The program, held in English, was a great opportunity for our students to dive into the themes of family, identity, and social issues presented in Mathis’ novel. After the reading, the discussion opened up to the audience, making it a really interactive and thoughtful experience. Many of our students left feeling inspired, having learned a lot not just about the book but also about storytelling and the craft of writing.
